Avalanches happened at a few places along the about 300-km long thruway
The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway was shut for activity today as avalanches happened at a few places along the street connect taking after downpours.
An authority of the Traffic Control Room said one—route activity from Jammu to Srinagar was planned to employ on the parkway today, yet the vehicles have been ended close Nagrota in Jammu locale because of avalanches.
The authority said men and hardware have been squeezed into administration to clear—off the filth abandoned by the avalanches and the street is relied upon to be re—opened for movement later this evening.

A representative of the Meteorological Department here said most parts of the Valley, including summer capital Srinagar had gotten rains overnight.

Srinagar recorded the base temperature of 5.8 degrees Celsius—up from 4.7 degrees Celsius the earlier night, the representative said.
He said Qazigund, the door town to Kashmir along Srinagar—Jammu National Highway, enrolled a low of 4.2 degrees Celsius, while the adjacent Kokernag town recorded a low of 3.7 degrees Celsius.
Kupwara town in north Kashmir enrolled at least 2.7 degrees Celsius, same as that of the earlier night.
The night temperature recorded at the popular slope resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir was 0.8 degrees Celsius, the representative stated, including the well known ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir was the main place in the Valley where the night temperature was beneath the point of solidification at short 1.4 degrees Celsius.
Leh in boondocks district of Ladakh was the coldest recorded place in Jammu and Kashmir at short 3 degrees Celsius, the representative said.
He said the town had recorded a low of 0.3 degrees Celsius yesterday which was over the point of solidification interestingly this winter.
The representative said there is plausibility of light precipitation or snow, particularly in the higher ranges of Kashmir, more than two days from today, after which the climate is probably going to stay dry.
