Rupee drops 7 paise

The rupee devalued 7 paise to 66.97 against the US dollar in early exchange today on new interest for the American money from shippers and banks.

Merchants ascribed the rupee's tumble to new interest for the US money from shippers, yet a higher opening in the household value markets and dollar's shortcoming against a few monetary forms abroad topped the misfortunes.

Recently, the rupee had amplified picks up for the second in a row day by climbing another 3 paise to close at 66.90 for each dollar on supported offering of the US money by banks and exporters.

Then, the benchmark BSE Sensex recouped by 109.11 focuses, or 0.38 for every penny, to 28,264.67 in the opening exchange today.
