Clock bomb found in Rajkot; defused effectively

A "live" clock bomb covered in a crate was on Tuesday found in Khodiyarpara range of the city taking after which it was effectively defused, police said.

"We got a call that a suspicious question was lying on the roadside in Khodiyarpara zone on 150-feet ring street.

After looking the container, we discovered two gelatin sticks joined with a bike battery and a (clock)" K N Parmar, police sub assessor with Rajkot Bomb Disposal Squad, said.

"The bomb squad has effectively defused the bomb" he included.

"On the off chance that the bomb went off, it would have brought about serious harm to property and individuals living in 100 meter distance across region" the authority said.

An inquiry has been started to seize the individual, who had planted the bomb, the authority included.
